In 2002, to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Ofcom permitted use of a special prefix character, Q. For all QSOs made in 2002 the following QSL card was printed and sent out via the bureau.
GB2RL – Roker Lighthouse
While I was an active member of the Bishop Auckland Radio Amateurs Club we were active annually for the Lighthouses On The Air weekend from the Roker Lighthouse in Sunderland. We operated from the Volunteer Life Brigade building, which had sight of the lighthouse itself.
GB2NAM – North-East Aircraft Museum
GB2NAM is a permanent special event callsign held by the Bishop Auckland Radio Amateurs Club at the North East Aircraft Museum, Sunderland.
