VP8DNA – The Falkland Islands 2010/2011

VP8DNA was active for a few weeks in Spring 2010 and again in Spring 2011 from Mount Pleasant on East Falkland. Equipment was an Icom IC-7000 with 100W into a low hung 88 foot long doublet antenna, about 3m above the ground at the centre. Operating time was very limited during the 7 weeks across both trips.

Some of the DX bulletins reported the activity incorrectly at the time, I was using the VP8RAF/VP8FIR shack as a base, though I was only active using my own call sign and as such am only able to handle QSL cards for VP8DNA.

The logs have been added to Logbook of the World, and now also ClubLog. QSL via M0PCB either via the bureau or direct to the address on www.qrz.com.
