As I had been on a trip to C5X in January I wasn’t able to set anything up for the Commonwealth contest for 2015. Hopefully I’ll be out in the Commonwealth again in 2016. This worked out fine in the end as although I was active on the bands I did not submit a log for this contest. This was as a protest to the way the RSGB Contest Committee handled the AFS CW adjudication.
Nevertheless I thought it worth supporting the guys who did travel for the Commonwealth contest this year so gave them points to make their trips all worthwhile.

I didn’t crank up a huge score in limited time on the bands, but did fill some band slots with some of the travellers in Africa. A particularly good find was Nigel V5/G3TXF who moved to 10m at the request of another competitor, and I managed to pounce before Nigel went back to 15m.
Hopefully things will be back to normal for 2016 with a more serious entry from outside of the UK.
