Having got an 80m antenna set up for the 80m AFS contests I managed to have a go at a club championship event on behalf of The Cheltenham Amateur Radio Association and made 58 QSOS into 4 countries in the hour and a half.
Equipment was an Elecraft K3, 100w into a 100′ doublet antenna. As weekday evenings were quite busy I didn’t manage to enter any other events in the series in 2011, though CARA did quite well overall.
